Gina Hackett

St. Louis County

Gina, PLPC, supports children, teens, and young adults using play therapy and TF-CBT, focusing on connection, healing, and tools to thrive beyond therapy.

Gina is a provisionally licensed professional counselor currently under the supervision of Dr. Alexandria Boyer, PhD, LPC. Gina graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Mizzou and obtained her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University.

Gina specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She has worked with children for years prior to coming to Foundations for Change. She utilizes play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques and strategies when working with her clients. Gina is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Gina enjoys working with children and adolescents because of the playfulness and sincerity they bring to each session.  She prioritizes the counselor/client relationship and feels that building that connection is a fundamental part of the process of change. Her goal is to make each client feel seen and understood, while also giving them the tools needed to thrive outside of the therapeutic environment.
